Mystical Musical Ecstasy with Omar Aena

Omar Aena is a world music DJ, conscious event producer, and cultural storyteller with roots in New York City and branches around the world.

I first met Omar on the dance floor in NYC, circa 2016, and I immediately felt a kinship with him.

Fast-forward to circa 2021, our story continued when Omar came to DJ one of the Philly ecstatic dances, and then stayed the night at my place in South Jersey.

We stayed up into the wee hours of the morning, eating chicken soup, and talking about the culture of ecstatic dance and how it can serve to spread liberation beyond the dance floor.

Now, it's been a long time coming, and it's finally here - an opportunity to drop in and explore all of the questions I've been looking forward to asking.
